What Readers Say
We Never Said Goodbye
“We Never Said Goodbye is wonderfuly crafted and an absolute easy read. The plot is intense and emersive. Fiona is grief stricken and confused about who she is, mixing that with the confusion of her feelings for a past relationship with Simon makes for great tension and a slow burn romance. This is one of my favorite new indie authors to look out for!!”

I will forever recommend this book to anyone looking for a love story. You fall in love with the main characters as much as they fall in love with each other.

Love Beyond The Game
“I was honored enough to receive an ARC of Love Beyond the Game, so first and foremost, thank you Alexandra Shaw!!
This story follows Nicole, a gymnast and Jeremy, a baseball player. They are in college and meet due to being in physical therapy for injuries. Jeremy is ALL in, immediately!! Nic was a little more hesitant, but couldn't fight her feelings. This story is HOT, emotional and sweet. I really enjoyed following along as they learned to navigate life, their sports and one another. (And that bedroom)!! 🥵 4 stars for the story and 2.5 on the 🌶 scale. Definitely recommend!!”

Love Beyond the Game is a slow burn college sports romance. Each main character plays a different sport and meet while undergoing physical therapy. The depth in which the author goes into explaining each sport, injury and related recovery is outstanding. The character development is amazing. The love story progresses at a slow pace, but not too slow as to make one uninterested. There is enough spice so that you’re not left lacking. There are plot twists and turns to keep you on your toes. I loved this book and can’t wait for book two!!!

The Exodus of Ayala
“I really, really enjoyed this story! I'll preface the rest of the review by saying I don't normally read romance novels, so for one to draw me in is more than a minor accomplishment. But I was hooked from the very beginning and never wanted to quit reading.
I love that this story takes place in Basra, Iraq shortly after World War II. That's a setting and time period that I've never seen another author touch before, and for the reason it's even more interesting and fresh. The dangers facing the characters are very real, as you might imagine, and for that reason there's tension from the very first page. Ayala and the Abraham family are Jews living in Basra. The Jewish nation of Israel has just been formed, and it's caused a streak of turmoil and violence against Jews throughout the Middle East.
Ayala and her family meet Brody, a Scottish soldier stationed in Basra, who agrees to protect her and her brother. Feelings quickly develop between Ayala and Brody, even though he is several years older and from a different continent. But in the middle of such a turbulent time, they aren't able to act on how they feel before they're ripped apart. The Abrahams and many other Jewish families are forced to flee Iraq.
The Exodus of Ayala was great because of the characters more than anything else. I found myself immediately caring about what happened to them, and that worry and edginess helped me fly through this story and then wish there was more when I reached the end. I had a great time reading The Exodus of Ayala and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity. I'm looking for more books like it and loved how direct it was while still being full of passion, excitement, and romance. Cheers!”

“Well done to the author! The Exodus of Ayala is an excellent, well written read. I was gripped and enthralled from the beginning, and read the book quite quickly. Two lovers caught up in a very difficult situation. I felt for Ayala in her transition to a new country, but the book touches on so many more subjects. Dialogue and narrative excellent throughout. Recommended!”

The Nightingale Chronicles: Protecting Jacqueline
“An engaging tale of love with Jacqueline, a headstrong heroine, and the reluctant viscount, Colin. It explored the different ways that people deal with trauma and how it affects their lives and relationships, and the struggle to overcome the past and fund happiness.”
